Gender Equality and Health in High-Income Countries: A Systematic Review of Within-Country Indicators of Gender Equality in Relation to Health Outcomes

Background: Gender equality is recognized as an important political, social, and economic goal in many countries around the world. At a country level, there evidence that gender may have influence on health. Historically has mainly been measured to allow for between-country, rather than within-country comparisons; association between health outcomes within under-researched. This article thus aimed systematically review indicators of public studies assess extent which these are related outcomes. Materials Methods: We used Preferred Reporting Items Systematic Reviews Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) approach with two independent reviewers. Results: Data from eight included revealed was heterogeneity way multidimensional construct.
